SARDEGNA COESA
“SARDEGNA COESA” (“Cohesion in Sardinia”) It is a 12-month project co-financed by the European Commission (DG REGIO) under the “Support for information measures relating to the EU Cohesion policy” program.
The project activities, which started in September 2022, aim to disseminate information and content related to the EU Cohesion policy to a large number of citizens and potential beneficiaries in the Sardinia region; while simultaneously engaging beneficiaries and stakeholders in a deeper analysis of the impact of cohesion policies and their future development.
Objectives
With our project “SARDEGNA COESA,” we aim to:
- Help the citizens of the Island develop a broader understanding of the fundamental contribution of European Cohesion Policies in promoting employment and growth in Sardinia.
- Raise awareness among potential beneficiaries of the Programs related to cohesion policies (European Social Fund, European Regional Development Fund, National Recovery and Resilience Plan, etc.) and encourage their greater and more productive participation in the promoted calls.
- Promote and disseminate best practices developed by the beneficiaries of projects funded by cohesion policy programs in Sardinia.
- Engage all stakeholders in a discussion on the future developments of the European cohesion strategy.
Euradia presents the new manual “Culture in the European Cohesion Funds 2021-2027”.
Euradia is pleased to announce the release of the manual “Culture in the European Cohesion Funds 2021-2027,” produced as part of the “COHESION IN SARDINIA” project funded by DG REGIO. The manual is specifically designed to reach as many Sardinian citizens as possible and beyond, to provide them with a better understanding of European cohesion policies. Through this guide, it will be possible to understand how these policies work and how the Sardinia region will benefit in terms of growth and employment, with particular attention to the funds allocated to culture and creativity at all levels of management.
Created by the three project partners, the Association of Local Authorities for Cultural and Entertainment Activities, the University of Perugia, and Euradia Italia srl, the manual also boasts the essential contribution of two Euradia members: Director Massimo Macaluso and Project Manager Alessandro Ameli.
For those who wish to delve deeper into the subject, the manual is available for free download.
Activities
During the project, the following will be carried out:
Online and offline communication actions
Aimed at the general public, i.e., as many Sardinian citizens as possible, to be reached on many channels, to help them better understand what is meant by “cohesion policies,” how they work, and how Sardinia benefits and will benefit from them, particularly in terms of growth and employment.
- Group 1: Local authorities.
- Group 2: Businesses, non-profit organizations, Universities.
- Group 3: Operators in the cultural and creative industries.
Each seminar cycle will be conceived and conducted by experts, keeping in mind these three target groups, in terms of the programs addressed and the specific topics examined.
Creation and dissemination of a podcast
Aimed at potential beneficiaries of European programs, but also at all citizens potentially interested in understanding what can concretely be achieved by implementing projects funded by the European Union. In the first phase, a documentary analysis will be conducted to identify 15 best practices (i.e., EU-funded projects in Sardinia that achieve exceptional results or impacts). The organizations involved will be interviewed in the form of a podcast. Additionally, both the best practices and the interviews will be communicated through other media: the project website, social media, newspapers, television, and radio.
Round tables and debates
With representatives and officials of the regional government, university representatives, industrial associations, trade unions. We will gather suggestions and recommendations on how to make Europe work in Sardinia: this process, led by EURADIA, will provide not only a list of concrete proposals developed by the stakeholders but also a series of joint or bilateral meetings between group members and Sardinian representatives in Brussels. The aim of these meetings will be to present and discuss the collected recommendations and proposals with the deputies, promoting a lasting dialogue between local territories and European institutions.
